Google Glass looks too geeky! Yes, no matter how excited one may be about the Glass they cannot help deny the fact that they’re anything but fashionable. But Google is leaving no stones unturned to turn its sci-fi invention into a cool looking cult device. And for that, it has just paired with Ray Ban and Oakley maker, Luxottica.

Luxottica, the glass maker behind cult eyewear brands like Ray Ban and Oakley, announced that it has officially partnered with Google to develop new designs for the sci-fi Google Glass. Disclosing about the development on Monday, the Italian glass-maker divulged that it will be designing and developing new types of frames and glasses for Google Glass. While how much Luxottica is getting paid for this interesting job was not disclosed, the company said that both will work in close co-ordination to produce new innovative wearable designs for the iconic Glass brand.

Expressing his excitement upon pairing with Google, Luxottica Chief Executive Officer Andrea Guerra said “We believe that a strategic partnership with a leading player like Google is the ideal platform for developing a new way forward in our industry and answering the evolving needs of consumers on a global scale”. Also, Ray Ban and Oakley, Luxottica’s two massively renowned brands will be joining in on the deal, as told by Luxottica.
