At least 3 dead after fire rips through Point Pleasant Beach motel 

The bodies were found after firefighters extinguished the blaze inside the Mariner's Cove Motor Inn, located just blocks from the New Jersey shore. Emergency workers were still searching the smoldering remains of the motel for more possible victims.

At least three people died after a fire tore through the Mariner's Cove Moter Inn at Point Pleasant Beach in New Jersey early Friday.

At least three people were dead and three critically hurt after a fire tore through a two-story motel on the New Jersey shore early Friday, authorities said.
Firefighters began battling the wild flames inside the Mariner’s Cove Motor Inn at Point Pleasant Beach soon after the blaze was reported about 6 a.m., authorities said.
It was not immediately clear what caused the deadly fire at Mariner's Cove Motor Inn in Point Pleasant Beach.

Several guests were injured as they scrambled from their rooms inside the hotel, located just blocks away from the beach, according to WABC-TV.
Emergency workers found three bodies soon after the flames were extinguished. Authorities said they are still searching the smoldering remains of the motel for other possible victims.
