Report: 1 dead after shuttle bus overturns on I-95 near Washington DC

Virginia State Police have told broadcast outlets that one person is dead and others have been injured after a 16-passenger shuttle bus overturned beside Interstate 95 near Washington.


She says the bus driver, seeking to avoid the vehicle, swerved and ran off the right side of the interstate, hit a guardrail and overturned. Geller tells WTOP that the other vehicle is being sought.A state police spokeswoman, Corinne Geller, told WTOP the bus crashed after 3 a.m. Sunday in Fairfax County, Va. Geller tells WTOP the commuter bus was headed south when a white, four-door passenger vehicle swerved at high speed into the bus's travel lane.
There were no immediate details on the fatality. Reports say two injured people were taken by helicopter to a Fairfax hospital.
