US treasury secretary undergoes prostate treatment

New York — US Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew was treated Tuesday for a benign enlarged prostate and expects to be back at work next week, a Treasury spokeswoman said.

"Secretary Lew's outpatient surgical procedure went well and as planned today," said spokeswoman Natalie Earnest in an email.
"The secretary is now resting comfortably and continues to expect to resume his normal schedule in Washington next week."
Lew, 58, fell ill during a visit to Mexico City on March 18 and was taken to hospital there for what was called then a "minor medical issue"
