Shalakha (L) & Vishakha
MUSIC AND MADNESS: Moksha,
the annual fest of Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT)
concluded on a funtastic note recently in the capital, thanks to the
extended presence of the funny guys from The Viral Fever (TVF). While
Day 1 saw international artiste Akcent breaking all sonic barriers with
his performance, Day 2 offered the audience a high dose of humour. After
their performance, the TVF guys stayed back a day to judge the Mr and
Ms Moksha event as well.
ENGINEER HUMOUR: Vipul Goyal started the performance with his stand-up act. The former IIT Bombay graduate knew his audience well, and kept the crowd cheering for his engineer brand of jokes. From digs on creating your first resume to the lack of girl students in certain specific branches, he had the students of NSIT in splits. Remembering the age-old DCE vs NSIT rivalry, the stand-up artiste kept comparing the students here to those of DCE and got the audience to shout the loudest by saying, "Itna shor machao ki DCE tak aawaz jaaye."
KEJRU'S HERE, TOO: The event also included spoof acts by artistes Deepak Mishra, Biswapati Sarkar and Jitendra Kumar, who performed small bits of their popular online videos, Rowdies and Bollywood Aam Aadmi Party. For the Rowdies act, Deepak aka Raghu got a college student on stage and auditioned him, Roadies' style. Jitendra, aka Kejru, got the girls cheering for him when he said, "Yeh collegewale ladkiyon ko jaldi hostel bhej rahe hain, ladkiyon ne dharna bhi kiya hai is baat pe, main unke saath hoon."
